 The
WorkSite Search Module extends SharePoint
search to include millions of WorkSite documents,
folders, and workspaces from one or more
libraries to provide a single interface
for search across multiple systems.
In addition to indexing document contents,
the WorkSite Search Module can index any
or all attributes stored in WorkSite for
documents, folders, and workspaces, enabling
users to search based on content as well
as attributes such as client, matter, and
document type.
Our unique search solution
combines a high-volume, high-performance
architecture that scales easily with SharePoint,
a layered security model which enforces
content security through both persisted
and real-time permissions validation, and
customizable and interactive search results
that provide sorting, grouping and drill-down
capabilities, navigation to related information,
and contextual real-time integration with
WorkSite. |

 SharePoint
uses Active Directory as its means to secure
content and search results. To securely integrate
WorkSite content with SharePoint,
WorkSite users and groups must
be mapped to Active Directory users and
groups. SPxConnect WorkSite Search
Module does
this mapping automatically and includes
simple tools to manually adjust the alignment
between WorkSite and Active Directory when needed.
Once security settings are aligned, the
WorkSite security settings are collected along
with content and persisted in the SharePoint
index. This provides a high level of security
that is updated at each full and incremental
crawl. Storing access rights in the index
allows SharePoint to provide fast and accurate
results.
To further secure content, real-time security
is maintained by inspecting permissions
within WorkSite as search results are displayed,
ensuring the most up-to-date settings are
applied.
This combination of persisted and real-time
security trimming ensures WorkSite
security is enforced and users access only
appropriate information without any degradation
of performance. |

relevancy ranking, customizable thesaurus,
"starts with", proximity, and "restrict
by file type", combining result across multiple
systems.
Basic and advanced search provide both simple
keyword-based search and targeted search
based on WorkSite properties and full-text content
that can be customized according to source
system configurations. |
